To be able develop further efforts in promoting tourism, the Quezon Provincial Government approved resolution No. 2012-1501 to enact the Provincial Ordinance No. 2012-13 which will establish the tourism council for the province.
Aside from the provincial tourism council, there will also be district tourism coordinating councils and tourism executive management committee to ensure the implementation of all tourism-related promotions of the entire province.
The resolution is based on R.A. 9593 or the Tourism Act of 2009 which anchors on tourism plans that will develop and conserve the natural resources and cultural heritage, and will provide opportunities for the local community.
